The Flushing Police Department, in partnership with the community, works to provide ethical and professional law enforcement service.  We strive to maintain the trust and confidence of our citizens while working to improve the quality of life.

The Flushing Police Department is comprised of three sergeants, one detective, fifteen sworn police officers and one administrative assistant.  Patrol coverage is provided to the City of Flushing 24 hours a day.  Office hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.   Flushing residents can register handguns from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  The Police Department is located at 725 E. Main Street in the Flushing City Hall.  Information can be obtained by calling 810-659-3119 during office hours.

The Flushing Police Department now provides current information through the Nixle service.  By registering with Nixle, you can be notified of emergencies, traffic problems, crime trends and community information through e-mail or cell phone messages.  For more information and to register for this service, go to Nixle.com.

Reverse 911 is a service provided in Genesee County, where Genesee County Central Dispatch can call residents with emergency notifications.  This service will automatically call listed numbers when a notification is warranted.  Residents who have unlisted numbers, Voice Over Internet (VoIP) or cellular phones can have these phones registered as well.  Go to GeneseeCounty911.org to find more information and to print a registration form.
